White Plains, NY – New York State Senator Shelley B. Mayer announced her endorsement of Jenn Puja for Westchester County Legislator for the June 24th Primary, citing Puja’s deep community ties, proven leadership, and steadfast commitment to public service.

“I strongly endorse my friend and colleague, White Plains Councilmember Jenn Puja, for the County Legislature for the 5th District. Jenn has been a courageous advocate for workers, first responders, rental tenants, children and seniors for years.” said Senator Mayer. “She is a proud voice for all of the residents that she currently represents, and is unafraid to stand up for those at special risk given the current federal administration. I look forward to working closely with her as a County Legislator representing White Plains, Scarsdale, and parts of Harrison. She is an exceptional public servant and I am proud to support her.”

Puja, a lifelong Westchester resident, labor advocate, and current member of the White Plains Common Council, has built a reputation for accessible, forward-thinking leadership focused on equity, economic opportunity, and responsive government.

“I’m honored to have the support of Senator Shelley Mayer, a respected leader who has fought for education, women’s rights, and working families across New York State,” said Puja. “Her endorsement is a powerful affirmation of our shared vision for a stronger, fairer Westchester County.”

The Democratic primary for Westchester County Legislator will be held on June 24th.
